Morgan Burnett was actually a guy I was considering taking with the 37th overall pick so I was pretty excited to see him still on the board here at #55. He's got protypical size, he's a ballhawk who makes plays in coverage, and is willing to step up to stop the run. So often it seems like you have to choose between CB like cover safety or a LB like hitter safety and rarely do you find those guys who can do both. Even rarer do you find them near the bottom of the second round.

After just missing out on some cornerback help, Burnett is a heck of a consolation prize. Jason is right about Burnett being that player who can replace Dawkins. Great selection.    

I like this pick and, as BGN said, could've been a legitimate candidate with the 37th pick. Solid selection.
