The funniest thing about this new Nike advertisement is that most fans wouldn't even know it's for Duke. Because last time I checked, uh, a pitchfork isn't part of their logo. Duke fetishists would understand, of course, because they're the only people conceited enough to think that this year's championship restored some sort of cosmic order.
In fact, that's the only reason anyone would recognize this as a Duke ad. You don't even need to recognize the pitchfork to understand. Only Duke would sign off on an ad like this, as if they've been the rightful kings of the basketball universe all along. And you know what? In a way, the ad's right on the money.
Duke's smug sense of entitlement is BACK, baby! And order HAS been restored.
Fear not, friends, Duke's once again the most insufferable program in college basketball.

Gotta be Duke.
No other state or school in the country has such a smug, snobby, we’re better than you
attitude. If the shoe fits, wear it !! No LOL. Dead serious.

Six months from now...
when Bankoff asks “Why don’t we have a Duke blog yet?”, we can add this to the list of links to show him why.

Arizona State Sun Devils or New Jersey Devils anyone?
Arizona State and New Jersey both come to mind long before some college in some podunk backwater.

Puke........er Duke
North Carolina is the most disgusting state in the south. They still suffer from the snobbish attitude handed down to them by the jolly
old British. For the Duke fan’s information they were not the number
one team in the nation. Winning the NCAA Tournament does not automatically make a team number one. Only in your fantasies. As a matter of fact three of the final four polls had Kansas #1, Kentucky #2
and Duke #3. What? That’s right. Back in 1970 even after losing to Jacksonville in the Regional the AP Poll voted Kentucky #1 in its final poll. All you Duke fans don’t “feel sorry” for us. We are going to hang
number eight sooner than you think. And I hope it’s at the Pukies………
er Dukies expense. Sorry for the matter fact of fact honesty. I really don’t hate Duke; I just can’t stand you. LOL! LOL!
