Ray McCallum, Trey Ziegler Stay Home To Play For Dad

Today, Ray McCallum, Jr. chose to play his college basketball at Detroit Mercy, spurning offers from powerhouses like Florida and UCLA, to stay at home and play for his father, Ray McCallum, Sr. A top 20 guard and a McDonalds All-American, he should make an immediate impact in the Horizon League.

Also today, Trey Ziegler, another blue chip recruit, signed with Central Michigan to play for his father. For his part, Ziegler spurned the University of Michigan, who had previously won a committment from Ziegler.

Replacing John Wall won't be easy, but as far as Kentucky's concerned, getting a player like Brandon Knight is about as much as you could hope for.
