Video: San Jose is Sharkbit By Dan Boyle's Own Goal in Overtime

The San Jose Sharks outshot the Colorado Avalanche 51-17 tonight, and compiled an astonishing 42-7 edge over the second and third periods. Unfortunately, the Sharks took one too many "shots" at their own net.

Dan Boyle backhanded the puck past Evgeni Nabokov to send the Sharks to a 1-0 overtime loss. This has sparked a bit of vitriol on Twitter and a bit more on Facebook.

I can only imagine the mood in the San Jose locker room. The top-seeded Sharks are now down 2-1 in this series, and might fall to the eight seed in the first round for the second straight year if they cannot escape the Avalanche.
