Rarely does a fan become almost as famous as his team, but Clipper Darrell is an exception. The longtime Clippers fan has stuck with the Clippers through years and years of incompetence and awful play to become arguably the most well-known fan in the NBA.
But apparently the disappointment of this year has pushed Darrell over the edge, because he told ESPN Los Angeles' Arash Markazi that he's "retiring" because the Clippers don't seem to care about winning. I guess Darrell isn't getting too amped about the Clippers' max cap room this summer or the (hopeful) return of Blake Griffin. Here's hoping he jumps back on the bandwagon soon.
(Disclaimer: as Markazi tweets, this could be one fabulous April Fools joke).
