Canadiens' Key To Game 4: LOSE

We all want to be winners. We want to hoist the Stanley Cup, not be the team on the receiving side of the handshake line at the end of the postseason. These are things we're taught from a young age, right? And you'd think that, of all teams, the Montreal Canadiens would know this better than any other. After all, 23 Stanley Cups don't come easily.

But maybe they're just sick of all the winning at this point. According to their official website, they should lose Game 4 of their quarterfinal series with the Washington Capitals. Yes, really:

Lose Game 4: While it might sound crazy, un-winning the fourth game of this series might put the Capitals exactly where the Canadiens want them. Adept at blowing series leads, just as they did last spring when they squandered a 2-0 series edge before bowing out to the Penguins in the second round, the Caps have assembled quite an impressive collection of epic meltdowns over the years. When it comes to blowing 3-1 series leads, no team compares to the Capitals.

Hey, anonymous member of the Habs' PR team. It does sound crazy.

Update!: Thanks to commenter renhoak, we now see that the Habs have changed the third key to the game at the link posted above. Shame on us for not getting a screen grab of it originally, but even more shame on the Habs for apparently not being confident enough to come back from 3-1 down against the best team in the NHL. /bad logic

Fired?

Wonder if that PR person got fired. I see now that the list of five keys to win against Caps has changed.
