Rockies President Keli McGregor was found dead in a Salt Lake City hotel room Tuesday morning, according to The Denver Post. Police say they responded to a call from the Grand American Hotel, where they found McGregor deceased in his room.
More from Detective Rick Wall:
"We didn't see anything suspicious," Wall said. "He did pass away of natural causes. The official cause of death will be investigated by the Salt Lake City Medical Examiner's Office."
McGregor was 48 years old. He was with the organization since 1993, and was named president in 2001. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
