Rams Trade DT Adam Carriker To The Redskins; Albert Haynesworth Not Involved

Back in March there were some rumors floating around that the Redskins were interested in trading for Rams DT Adam Carriker. Nearly a month later and those rumors are coming to fruition.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Rams have indeed traded Carriker to the Redskins.

So what did it take to get a former first round pick? Schefter reports the Rams and Redskins simply swapped fifth round picks.

Schefter does note that Albert Haynesworth was NOT included in the deal.

Carriker is 6'6" and 296 pounds so he will likely be a defensive end in the Redskins new scheme.

Carriker, 25, was drafted 10th overall by the Rams in 2007. He missed the 2009 season with a shoulder injury.
