It's no secret that NBA players will go to great lengths to argue foul calls with the officials. If you've never noticed a player arguing with the referee instead of running back on defense, you really aren't watching closely enough. It's as much a staple in the NBA as the pick and roll.
But still, you have to be impressed with how Stephen Jackson took it to another level last night. Late in the fourth quarter, Jackson drove down the lane, got hit in the head by Matt Barnes, and no foul was called. Barnes' block attempt was so off that it pulled Jackson's headband down over his eyes. The Magic got the ball, and Jackson decided to plead his case instead of running back.
Pretty typical, except for one thing. Jackson never pulled his headband back up. In other words, Jackson was arguing with the official even though he couldn't actually see him. Both Teams Played Hard captured this screenshot.
"Your eyes can deceive you, Stephen. Don't trust them."
UPDATE: Here's video of the incident, via Ball Don't Lie.
