The 38th pick is in and SB Nation's Browns community, Dawgs by Nature, has selected...
Texas QB Colt McCoy
It's clear the Browns need a young quarterback While I like McCoy - and Mike Holmgren may as well - there are too many quality players still available to take a developmental talent. There are some good wide receivers still available, and Dwyer would be a good fit. There are also some great pieces that could be added to the defensive line. It's hard to disagree with the pick of McCoy, but what really sets him apart from a quarterback that could be had in the third?
I like this pick a lot. The Browns can head into 2010 with Jake Delhomme calling the shots and this will give McCoy time to get used to the pro game. He's incredibly accurate and has a ridiculous amount of starts in college. Those are the two stats that translate best from college to pro. With Mike Holmgren on the staff, I like McCoy's chances.
