Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Miguel Olivo crushed the first pitch he saw in the 10th inning into the left field seats, giving the Colorado Rockies a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in the first game of a day-night doubleheader.
Olivo capped his 5-for-5 effort at the plate with a 10th-inning leadoff homer off Chad Durbin (0-1), thereby snapping a short two-game slide for the Rockies, who received three hits and two runs scored from Carlos Gonzalez.
Brad Hawpe knocked in three runs, two coming on a triple in the seventh inning to tie the game off Roy Halladay, who finished with a no-decision after allowing three runs -- two earned -- on 10 hits and two walks in a season-low 6 1/3 innings.
Chase Utley had three hits and an RBI for the Phillies, who had won eight of 10 coming into the game.
After the Phillies left runners on the corners in the first, the Rockies took a 1-0 lead with a manufactured run in the bottom half. Gonzalez and Seth Smith each singled, and a sacrifice bunt moved each into scoring position before Hawpe's short fly to left was enough to plate a run.
Colorado put its first two hitters on in the third but failed to score, and Jayson Werth's double to the left-field gap scored Ryan Howard from first in the fourth.
In the home half, the Rockies had runners on second and third with no outs and came away empty-handed, as Ian Stewart was tagged out at the plate trying to score on a ball that bounced a few feet away from catcher Paul Hoover, who entered the game after Carlos Ruiz left with a right knee injury.
Utley hit a go-ahead RBI single in the fifth, and Raul Ibanez added a bases- loaded sacrifice fly later in the frame for a 3-1 game.
The Phillies stuck with Halladay for the seventh, and Gonzalez greeted the Denver native with a leadoff single. After a flyout, Gonzalez advanced when Wilson Valdez failed to handle Ryan Howard's throw to second on a ball hit by Eric Young Jr, who also reached safely.
Hawpe followed with a line drive high off the right field wall to bring in both runners, ending Halladay's homecoming.
J.C. Romero entered from the bullpen and retired the next two hitters to keep it a tie game.
