If he hasn't been already, he could probably run tomorrow and get 80% of the vote.
Strasburg has been tearing up opponents since arriving in Syracuse for his AAA assignment to the Chiefs. He took the mound again Wednesday night and did not disappoint.
Strasburg struck out nine including six of the last eight Red Wings he faced to lead the Chiefs to a 5-1 win before a paid attendance crowd of 12,590 at Frontier Field. Rochester was limited to three hits – all singles
Since joining the Chiefs, Strasburg is 3-0. He has not surrendered a run, been touched for four total hits and struck out 22 batters.
Strasburg received a standing ovation when he left the game. Did I mention the game was being played in Rochester in front of the 11th largest crowd in Frontier Field history?
That also explains why they started booing when he failed to tip his cap after the second ovation. He might have the pitching part down but Stephen's still got a few things to lean after all.
The Chiefs are just enjoying his presence as much as they can. Not only if he putting tons of butts in seats but he's also moving merchandise. They might only have a few more weeks of StrasburgMania so they're gonna milk it for everything it's got.
