VIDEO: Tensions Boil Over For Germans, Swiss At World Championships

Let's set the stage. There's a faceoff with one second on the clock in the third period. The puck drops, the game is over. Germany has just won, 1-0, over Switzerland to advance to the semifinals of the 2010 World Championships.

That's when things got a little interesting. Roll the tape.

The dustup there about midway through the video is between Switzerland's Timo Helbing and German coach Ernst Höfner. It appears as though one of the other coaches on the German bench took offense by something Helbing did before Höfner stepped in, apparently saying something that set Helbing off.

Germany advances to face Russia for a spot in the gold medal game, while Switzerland leaves the tournament with a fifth place finish. For more on the World Championships, visit SBN's Puck Worlds.
