Todd Duffee came into UFC 114 as one of the top heavyweight prospects in the UFC. He was coming off the record quickest knockout in UFC history and facing a man in Mike Russow who has never really impressed anyone. For two and a half rounds things went perfectly according to plan as Duffee landed power shot after power shot with the only positive for Russow being that he showed the ability to absorb a lot of punishment.
However in the last half of the final round Russow landed what was his only solid punch of the fight and Duffee went out cold. It was a shocking moment and a huge derailment of the Todd Duffee hype train. Russow didn't look good for anything except the very end of the fight and Duffee got KO'ed in a fight he was dominating. That's not exactly good for anyone.
Russow improves to 2-0 in the UFC though and certainly won't be going anywhere now.
