ESPN's World Cup Murals Are Killing It

ESPN's determined to make you love the World Cup, even if they have to resort to painting cartoon murals to do so. The network commissioned a series of murals, one for each team, and I'd be lying if we said we didn't want a few of them framed for the rumpus room (especially the Cote D'Ivoire one, because Didier Drogba riding an elephant = ballin'.)

More of the best after the jump, including the snazzy American mashup of colonial tropes and South African geographical nods.

These are all via World Cup Buzz, where you can view the others and read Serbians in the comment section reacting very strongly to the artist's decision not to include Kosovo as part of Serbia.

Is that supposed to be a kangaroo? I’ve never seen one that could hold its tail up like that. He looks more like a giant mutant scorpion that can walk upright.
