Just A Heads Up: Glen Davis And Nate Robinson Are Really Awesome

You know how sometimes NBA players try to be funny and it comes off as forced? There's nothing worse than a concerted effort from a player to be ZANY, transparently seeking our attention. (*cough* Shaq *cough*)

You know two guys who are nothing like that?

Glen "Big Baby" Davis and Nate Robinson. The image above is Nate's new profile picture on Twitter, commemorating a moment from Game 4, where Nate jumped on Big Baby's back. He later described the moment, "We're like Shrek and Donkey." Why did he describe it that way? Because he's awesome.

More from these two after the jump.

You can find bigger, better players than both these two, but in addition to the boost they gave Boston in the fourth quarter last night--coupled with their hilarity afterward--now seems like a good time to mention that Nate and Big Baby are two of my favorite players in the whole league to watch. Not because they're good, per se, but even when they fail, they always make it damn entertaining.

A team that anchors their offense around a Nate Robinson/Glen Davis pick-and-roll might not win 20 games, but damnnit, those would be 60 entertaining losses.

So yeah, it was pretty cool to see these two misfits making meaningful contributions to real, live NBA Finals Game. What universe were we in??? Kryptonate and Big Baby, the story of the night and the center of attention? Fine by me. They sure as hell didn't disappoint.
