People appreciate the World Cup for different reasons. Personally, I love it because it allows me to jump head-first into unrepentant nationalism. As such, I love this commercial unconditionally.
I was somewhat disappointed to learn that this is an inspired creation of Greg Rutter's, rather than an accurate historical account. Regardless: don't tread on me! These colors don't run! Freedom isn't free! Watched pot never boils! Bird in the hand is worth two in the bush! Baseball's the only game in which the defense has the ball! A stitch in time saves nine! U-S-A! U-S-A!
Whew. We'll have full coverage of Saturday's USA-England World Cup match, which starts at 2:30 Eastern on ABC.

CARS AND FREEDOM. AND BEER. YEAH!
Good lord that’s a terrible advert. Where’s Mel Gibson?
If I am good I could add years to my life / I would rather add some life to my years.
