If you're looking to pick a favorite World Cup team, carefully considering all the pertinent factors (underdog status, quirk, national bias, best hair), then please consult Spencer Hall's World Cup likability index immediately. He's got you covered.
If, on the other hand, you want something more self-explanatory... Look no further:
If you've yet to pick a favorite team, the Netherlands should probably be the choice. They've never won a World Cup, their jerseys are fantastic, and... Just look at those fans. More photos after the jump.
You really can't overstate the greatness of that Dutch orange:
And let's not forget the Dutch ladies...
And finally, I think this is like the Netherlands' version of Uncle Sam. Complete with Dumb and Dumber tuxedo and mock-military hat. So, like Uncle Sam on Ketamine.
Seriously. How could you possibly root against these people? If you ask me, over the next few weeks, we should all come together and root for the Dutch to... PAINT THE WORLD ORANJE.
Watch the video. It will make your Monday happier.

I’ve been rooting for the Dutch as a secondary team for when England is inevitably knocked out and this just intensifies my love for their team.
Great to watch, effective, and they have Robin Van Persie. More than enough for me.

If only the Dutch players could enjoy being together as much as the fans do!

While that may have been true in the past
they’re a more cohesive group since around 2008, Van Basten did well with them in ’06 by not taking a lot of the pre-madonas that obstructed the Dutch from playing to their potential in the past. I think they are more of a team now and that should translate to the success. BTW congratulations to gio for winning his 100th cap. pretty incredible.

can't wait for robben to come back
when elia came onto the field he energized the dutch attack much like robben does so I can’t wait to see him get back on the pitch
