Colorado is barely a member of the Pac-10 and there is no 12th member just yet, but according to CBS4 Denver, the 12-team version of the conference is already set, along with its two-division breakdown.
Sources close to C.U. have told CBS4 Sports the Buffs are projected to be in a 6 team division in the new Pac-10. The Buffs will be joined by USC, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State and probably Utah, which is expected to receive an invitation to join the Pac-10.
The remaining teams in the conference that will make up the Pac-10 North are:
Cal-Berkeley, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State
While that does make sense, remember that it’s still just an unconfirmed rumor based on another unconfirmed rumor. Don’t book those flights just yet. Keep an eye on The Ralphie Report for any updates as they happen.

hmmm
Not sure on that, the NW block wants to be in or play in LA. zipper plan with rivals in opposite divisons who play each other like SEC seems more logical.

You hit it on the head
No way the northwest schools agree to that, unless they’ve got some wacky way of guaranteeing games in Southern California at least every other year — if not every year — for each of the teams.

yup
The San Jose Mercury writer had a good set up with rivals in composite division while guaranteeing they play USC or UCLA every year.

I plan to contact the PAC 10 about a third option later this week.
I have a draft that would allow all four california teams to play every year and play each of the other eight teams 10 times every 8 years.
It allows all teams to play one of the southern California schools each year. It also guarantees one game in California for each team each year.
I want to have an actual schedule in hand before contacting them, and am close.
The key is that the California schools would alternate between the north and the south for the purposes of determining annual round robin divisions and would play the other California schools as cross over gaems each year.
The Devil is in the remaining cross over games, if an eight game model is used. For a nine game schedule it falls into place rather nicely.
