A defenseman with exceptional puck moving skills and decision making ability, Gormley fits the Jackets' need for offensive punch at the blue line and defensemen who can play a puck-possession game under new head coach Scott Arniel. A well rounded player who can serve on both the PP and PK, he has the potential to become a future top pairing defenseman for the CBJ.
For more on Gormley and why the Jackets picked him, head over to The Cannon.
Up next today, the New York Islanders, via Lighthouse Hockey, have the fifth selection. They are on the clock.
