From Bird Watchers Anonymous:

With Nino Niederreiter off the board the Thrashers take the winger from the WHL. He has star talent but missed much of the season with a hip injury. Most observers say that on pure talent Connolly is a top 5 talent, the question is his health. Thrashers have done their due diligence (don't forget Atlanta took Patrik Stefan despite concussion concerns). One Thrashers scout said that he's "never seen him have a bad game"--the team likes his potential.

For more on Connolly, head over to BWA.

The final pick on day three belongs to the Minnesota Wild, via Hockey Wilderness. They are on the clock.
