Boris Said's crew chief Frank Stoddard was livid with Tony Stewart following the Sonoma race, stopping to scream at Stewart in the middle of a crowded garage and calling him a "fat fuck."
Said finished eighth and Stewart finished ninth, but Stoddard said Stewart intentionally ran into Said's No. 26 car following the race and caused significant damage.
"When the checkered flag was over, (Stewart) went up the hill and ran into the side of (Said), knocked the whole side off the car," a visibly upset Stoddard said. "He's a disrespectful jerk. The guy's got no respect. Never has, never will."
Stoddard said he has just five full-time employees working on his car and that the Latitude 43 Motorsports team's goal is to come to the track and try to compete cleanly without getting in anyone's way.
Stewart, the crew chief said, did not show the No. 26 team the same courtesy.
"When the checkered flag is out, he needs to show respect," Stoddard said. "And he does not even know how to spell the word. OK? He never has. He runs over people after he's had a bad day.
"Listen, if we raced him and we bumped or something like that, that's racing – not under the caution after the checkered flag, costing me $15,000 to fix it. It is unacceptable."
Stewart's crew chief Darian Grubb said there was an incident that precipitated the one after the checkered flag, which gave Stewart cause to retaliate.
"They can be (upset) if they want," Grubb said. "They're racing us one race – road-course ringers. (Said) came in and knocked Tony out of the way, so Tony got him the next lap. That's road-course racing.
"They don't race every week. They don't understand the game."
Said was "disappointed" in Stewart's actions, he said.
"At the end of the race, Tony Stewart just ran in and took the side of my car out after the checker," Said said. "He's one of my heroes, so that kind of upset me a little bit."

100% agree with Darian. The so-called-ringers can’t just come in and expect the regulars to move over because this is their only shot all year to win a race.
I, for one, am glad to see a little fire back in Tony.

move over?
Move over? Frank was 100% right about this. Boris didn’t race anyone any differently than he’d been worked over all day. He got pushed off the track twice on restarts which is why he was fighting for a top-10 instead of a top-3. Stewart is a prima donna who absolutely will do anything to anyone to pick up a spot on the track, and for him to damage someone else’s car intentionally after the race, over what amounted to a little bump, shows how much class he truly has- very little.

When things go bad for Stewart, he acts like a toddler throwing a fit. He acts as immature as any driver on the track. He apparently never received a spanking when he acted up as a child, so he continues to act like one. It’s time he grew up.

FactFinder…get a name that is correct. You’re a complete ass for making this comment. Was Tony an inmature idiot his first few years in Nascar…sure. But he has grown up. Boris had it coming..period. By the way take a poll in the garage of the drivers and ask them who is the most complete driver…..Smoke is always in the top 3. Mad respect for him.

Pound for pound, Boris Said has destroyed as much equipment as anybody. Getting pissy about this is absurd.

When would Tony get another chance at Boris? Tony doesn’t wait , if you did him wrong expect a bump back during THAT race if at all possible . Once it’s done he considers the matter closed, for the most part. Boris has wrecked plenty of people himself and called it good hard racing. To bad he never learned to race with the big boys.

It is no secret that if you hit Tony he will hit you back. it may be the next corner, the next lap, 20 laps later or after the race but he WILL hit you back. Boris should have known it was coming. As for Boris’s crew chief. Hard to talk about respect when you are calling people names. And would he rather have had Tony spin Boris during the race? I’m sure all those lost spots would have cost more than $15,000.

I don’t agree with hitting for no reason. If you hit Tony first, he’s gonna hit you back no matter what the flag color. So it was stupid to do it, Boris. You should pay for the damage.

Poor lil toni – ‘fat fuck’, I love! You are so right Factminder – he’s always acts like a toddle when he gets mad – bout time someone called him on it. Totally unnecessary – the race was over, toni!
