World Cup 2010, Japan Vs. Denmark: Yasuhito Endo Direct Kick Puts Japan Up Two

Japan’s second direct kick goal of the first half hour has the Blue Samurai up 2-0 and a step closer to the knockout stage.

It was another direct kick, this time from midfielder Yasuhito Endo, was taken from just above the arc, dipping beyond the wall to beat goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen, making it 2-0.

Denmark now needs three goals to advance past Japan into the knockout stage.
