As explained in detail over in our NBA Finals preview, The Finals FAQ, there's a good chance that this year's NBA title series could ultimately come down to Kobe. He's been operating another plane for most of the 2010 playoffs, and if it continues against Boston, it's the sort of run we'll remember for a long time.
So, of course he needed an awesome commercial as a companion to his efforts... And Nike, fresh off their juggernaut of a World Cup ad, is happy to oblige. They bring in Andre 3000 to play over the Beatles, set to some vintage video of Kobe's greatest exploits. Oh, and as they count through Kobe's titles—"one, two, three, four, can I have some more?"—is... Is this a subliminal shot at Barkley?
