As our Lions blog, Pride of Detroit, noted this afternoon, the EA folks have released the team ratings for Madden 11, which arrives in stores in August. The most dramatic developments: the Eagles lost six points (dropping from 86 last year to 80 this year), while the Redskins gained six points (70 to 76). Apparently, Donovan McNabb's value is set at an entire touchdown's worth of points.
None of this really matters to me, though. I win by relying on Jamaal Charles to return kicks and run for touchdowns at every opportunity, a tactic my brother has christened "a bunch of knock-knee stupid ass bull**** stupid ****."
Anyway, I've posted each team's ratings after the jump.

I know the Cardinals lost some good players
But they also improved at a few positions [FS, OLB, G], they aren’t going to be that bad. I’d have them around 81.
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].
I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.

i would disagree
FS was to replace a guy they lost. Joey Porter isnt an improvement. He is OLD and at the end of his career. Ill give you the guard improvement. Add that on top of the loss of Kurt Warner and a great WR and they are getting a generous bump down at 79. id almost stretch it that they should be lower. Im sure they improved ratings on breaston and doucet so that would be why they are 79 and not lower

Patriots at 86? Wow. I bet every one of the starters are around 90 like last year. I’m surprised that they don’t have the Pats at 90. They should be about 81.

sixty f-ing seven?!
Listen the Bills need alot of work but how, in the eyes of so many “experts” in the sports media world, did the Bills actually get worse this offseason? I think a 73 is much more fitting.
Assets: arguably one of the best RB trios in the NFL, elite secondary, talented interior OL, coach with a pulse.
Improvements:
Dropping the Tampa2 is an instant run defense upgrade- no more small converted safety OLBs, too much reliance on DEs for qb pressure.
Sign RT Cornell Green, not a jaw dropper but an improvement none the less
Dwan Edwards, Andra Davis run stoppers
Losses:
Aaron Schobel, will be missed, but his best days were behind him anyway
T.O., Where will we ever find a WR who lead the league in drops, gives up mentally when a loss is evident, and hangs qbs out to dry when it services his enormous ego?!
In summary, not getting a LT until rd5 didnt make us any worse, it didnt help….. same can be said about the QB positon, keeping Captain Checkdown, Brohm and Fitzy didnt make us worse and really, with a Coach like Gailey, a hardcore run-first guy, we can hope that he saw what a pack of turds this past draft’s QBs were and didnt bite on one early.
I think 7-9 is truly realistic. Which puts the Bills well ahead of the Lions, Cheifs, ’Hawks, ’Bucs, Jags and maybe even the Raiders.
67, someone at EA is mentally deficient.

ISN'T IT IRONIC
The dolphins received A 78 which is pretty good cosidering we have a Young QB who can hopefully be A franchise player and A good backfield that hes its flaws like an injury prone starter in Ronnie Brown and A good but, aging Ricky Williams. We had A secondary that gave up way to many plays and at this time we have an unknown prospect’s starting at FS an SOLB. We also have A veteran moving to A new position(NT). So to conclussion Branndon Marshall is the obvious reason for the increase since he will probably have A rating of around 97 and Karlos Dansby will probably be given A rating around 89.So, the people at EA Sports believe that Miami brought in 2 top flight players I wonder what it will mean on the field. Only time will tell. Go Phins.

Ironic
I forgot to state the irony is Miami snagged Denver’s premier player and they both received the same 78. If Marshall was still with Denver I wonder what their rating would have been.
