A Michigan State source called the report that Tom Izzo plans to leave Michigan State for the Cavs “absolutely untrue,” according to FOX Sports’ Jeff Goodman. Of course, a source denying the report doesn’t make it any more or less valid: If it is true, the Spartans coach isn’t going to come out and confirm it before he’s ready to make it official. A firm denial is standard operating procedure here.
