A welterweight rematch between Chris Lytle (29-17-5 MMA, 8-9 UFC) and Matt Serra (11-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC) will be featured on the main card of the as-yet-unannounced UFC 119 event.
MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the promotion that both fighters have agreed to the matchup, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.
UFC 119 takes place Sept. 25 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Lytle and Serra met in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter Season 4. Serra won by split decision and would go on to defeat Georges St. Pierre in his next bout to capture the UFC welterweight championship. Much of their first fight was spent with the men working in very tight quarters in a clinch against the cage.
Lytle is riding a three fight win streak and is always exciting having won seven bonuses for fight of the night, knockout of the night or submission of the night in his last ten fights.
Serra rebounded with back-to-back losses to Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes with a KO win over Frank Trigg at UFC 109.
