Earlier this week, Charles Barkley said LeBron James' decision to leave Cleveland for Miami was proof that he would never live up to Michael Jordan's legacy. Sunday, Jordan himself finally chimed in and basically echoed that same sentiment.
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said after finishing tied for 22nd in the American Century Championship golf tournament in Stateline, Nev. "But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."
Jordan did his best to reel things in at the end there but consider his opinion stated. Add that to the top of the complaint pile, LeBron.

Just a few comments
Why is it that people cant stand winners, Michael Jordan had the same haters when he was playing. Of course MJ would’ve called Magic and Bird about playin on one team. Look at the level of competition that he had to play against. After 88’ all teams could do was to play hard, and some one please respond to this? If Jordan had his championchip team in today’s league does he win a championchip. I don’t think he would. I don’t see anything wrong with wanting to win and clearly he has a better opportunity to win in miami than in cleveland.

I doubt it
MJ and Bird/Magic did play on a team – the Dream Team. MJ won his 1st title at what 28 years old? He also had Pippen who did make the 75 years all-NBA team. MJ no doubt wins much like the Lakers (i.e. Kobe) recently.

Wait!
So a team with Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc wouldn’t win a championship? Are you insane I put that squad and their against any team to date and they would easily win.

Yeah he is DEF talking crazy...
If Jordan averaged 30 ppg in the rules back then where the defenders could use forearms and maul an offensive player…. I couldn’t even imagine how amazing his stats would be if he was coddled and protected by the ref’s like LeBron / Wade / Kobe is today…

As much as I dislike the Lakers
The Laker team with Shaq, Malone, Horry, Payton and that other guy would beat Jordan’s Bulls.
Jordan is better then Kobe but Kobe is good enough to make MJ play hard at both ends of the court. Lets face it Cartright is no answer to Shaq and the Mailman AND Shaq down low is not something the Bull’s could defend.

not a NBA fan
but this stuff where the great players all get together on one team just to win themselves a title makes it less appealing than ever.

Agreed
Why watch anymore unless your a fan of LA or Miami? I mean seriously. The best players are those that strive to beat the best. Not those who team up together, hold a 1 hour ESPN feature to boost their ego, and create a less competitive league. This is going to be a poor era for the NBA. NHL keeps looking better and better!

not to mention how all the NBA games are going to suck online because everybody wants to play as the Heat.
