Wimbledon: Rafael Nadal Saves Set Points, Wins Second Set In Tiebreak

No. 2 Rafael Nadal is only a set away from what would be (not including 2009 which he missed to injury) his fourth consecutive appearance in the Wimbledon final.

Neither could break serve during the second set, but it was a much tighter affair than the first, with almost every game going to deuce.

In the tiebreak, Nadal saved set point at 6-5 with a beautiful touch forehand volley. He then earned a set point of his own on the next point with a passing shot that got some help from the net cord. Nadal made no mistake with his opportunity, and hit a sliding cross-court forehand that bounced twice before reaching Murray’s racquet.

But some momentum has already shifted in the third set, with Murray going up a quick break in the first game for a 1-0 advantage.
