Pretty Much Everyone Wants Chris Paul On Their Team

It's safe to say that pretty much everyone believes Chris Paul is a very good basketball player. Since Paul is on the trading block, it only makes sense that he is desired by almost every team.

Coming up with a fair trade for him, however, is another matter. That's pretty much the conclusion SB Nation's Hornets blog At the Hive reaches after it took a quick look around the SB Nation network. Nearly every one of SB Nation's communities has a thread devoted to potentially acquiring Paul, but very few have actually come up with reasonable trade scenarios.

That's not exactly surprising, because no team is capable of giving up get equal value for the best point guard in the NBA, but it is still kind of amusing. Check out the entire post and jump around to all the threads to discuss Chris Paul rumors with fans of pretty much every NBA team.

New Jersey has the best chance

Regardless of his wish list New jersey and Maybe Houston has the most to offer NO for CP3. The teams he wants to go to either have nothing of value or is in the western conference. I think for paul the best place to go would be the blazers but i doubt that NO will make their road in the playoffs that much more difficult. He is not a free agent who can demand a instant big 3 liek lebron and the hornets would be a fool to treat him as such,. they take the best value. NJ has tons of picks young talent and the cap room to make a deal work for him and Okafor who would probably be packaged in any deal for paul

They do?

Well his wishlist probably matters.

Would be a shame to give away all that stuff and have him leave in two years. Unless he commits longer than that will have an effect on trades.

A healthy Chris Paul could be better than Wade, who is in his off peak probably. He’s that good and still in his prime.

And hell no, to you saying D Wade will be GOAT if “he” wins in Miami. That’s a freaking joke and you should be embarrassed. A guy that choked against the Hawks is not a lock for anything, especially since LeBron will have higher PER anyway. LeBron will always be more talented than Wade and probably win more awards. That comment from before was so ignorant. Blind LeBron hate is moronic.

I tied it all together to stay on topic. :]

He is in his off-peak now dude.

Most don’t get better at age 29.

He’s projected at 26 PER, top 5 material for sure but not necessarily better than what Paul can still give you.

His Wish List does Matter...

To Him… But once again he is not a free agent, and his agent LMR group or whatever u call him arent the ones calling the shots. Liek u said he has 2 years left on his contract so its completely up to N.O. where he goes and where he plays even if it is for only two years. Would NJ be will ing to take a chance on him even for two years… Well with the move to brooklyn coming in exactly two years i think they will. The Nets needs to build excitement and see tickets and have a legit superstar to be taken seriously by any future superstar free agent (Melo). So in my opinion NJ makes the most sense.

As for ur CP3 better than Wade argument i think its a good convo starter but your not even close thats like saying that Steve Nash when he won the MVP was a better player than Kobe Bryant. You throw stats out the window when u deal with a True Superstar Like D Wade is. CP3 is the best PG in the league in my Opinion but Dwade maybe the 3rd best player in the league. CP3 is only a better player and fantasy leagues and even thats not a lock.

No I don't throw anything out the window. The past has nothing to do with the future.

If Wade doesn’t play better than Chris Paul next season, than he simply isn’t.

Chris Paul is a true superstar, and is in his prime seasons.

And I was talking about playoff awards, I think James is set to win more and stay healthier.

Steve Nash when he won the MVP was a better player than Kobe Bryant.

Chris Paul is much better than Steve Nash. He plays in the slowest paced offense, in his prime. His impact is extremely underrated.

I really don’t want him on the Nuggets.

Sure, if Melo is stupid enough to think the Nuggets should trade for Paul, you can have him.

The Nuggets have been burned enough of short-sighted business decisions.

I'd take it.

They have front-court problems, and a current all-star and future all-star (bank on it) backing him up in Chauncey Billups and Ty Lawson, respectively, and your solution is to trade for another PG?

Yeah, that totally makes sense.

Seriously, though, if you're going to make a blockbuster trade...

Do it for a center. It’s the Nuggets’ single weakness. PG is actually a strength.

Trade for a guy that can dominate (I mean, if it’s gonna cost the same as Paul, who is worth that?) the Lakers bigs, and you’re in the Finals. Simple as that.

No gimmicky crap liking trading 9 firsts and a sack of potatoes for Paul.
