What's up everyone?

I’m fired up to be at Indy…not thinking it’ll be the most exciting race, but it’s INDY, so I’m cool with it. Does that make sense?

Juan Pablo will lead the first 15 laps til the competition caution, then his pit crew will lose the lead, Jimmie Johnson will take over and dominate the day.

Agree/disagree?

That's good with me...

Indy is Gordon’s house..

Yes, there will be changes all over the place on the schedule.

Yes, including the Chase.

No, Pocono won’t lose a date.

Kansas will get a date, and probably Vegas instead of Kentucky. Fontana and Atlanta will lose dates.

But in addition to that, the schedule will be re-arranged in many ways. I’m excited to see how it works.

by Jeff Gluck on Jul 25, 2010 2:23 PM EDT reply actions

by Holly Hedgepeth on Jul 25, 2010 2:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Sucks Atlanta will

and I dunno why if they give it a good weather spot it pretty much sells out like in Sept, you cant expect much in mid march in the south weather wise

by grrrowlguy on Jul 25, 2010 2:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Exactly, I have sat in the grandstands of Atlanta in 3 layers before. It also rains. I can camp for 60 bucks at Atlanta or find a hotel for 50 about 30 miles away. They got traffic flow down, best (free) shower house for camping I’ve seen. In short, Atlanta is a great track and doesn’t deserve to lose a date.

by jshaunburke on Jul 25, 2010 2:28 PM EDT up reply actions

I love the ATL races so that’s a bummer. I’m really looking forward to changes in the chase. I knew you’d have good feedback, Jeff. Thanks.

by BoggsofHazard on Jul 25, 2010 2:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Atlanta is my favorite track! I think everyone loves the Atlanta race but when I’m sitting in the grandstands, it doesn’t look that way!

by jshaunburke on Jul 25, 2010 2:26 PM EDT up reply actions

ATl tickets are too high you got 39 for turn 3 and 95 for everything else unless you want row 3-10 in petty grandstand, knock petty to 59 or lower for it all and earnhardt grandstand outta 4 and out the front to 79 and they would sell out. Atlanta has always been a rough sports town in history it seems like

by grrrowlguy on Jul 25, 2010 2:32 PM EDT up reply actions

I have always thought Atlanta were some of the most reasonably priced tickets. But I guess compared to Dega and Bristol, everyone is cheap! They do have a ton of specials for the Night race: http://www.atlantamotorspeedway.com/tickets/specials/

Clearly Montoya and Biffle have the two best cars right now. I have no idea where the heck Biffle came from today…totally out of the blue for me. But good for him…and Roush.

Anyway…who wins between those two (if it comes down to them)?

I just don’t have a good feeling about Montoya’s team. They’re not used to being in this position…that often leads to mistakes.

We need one.

With just over 20 to go...

I’m giving you a shot to revise your picks.

Who wins?

Montoya, McMurray, Biffle or “Other?”

by Jeff Gluck on Jul 25, 2010 3:49 PM EDT reply actions

I'm sticking with Biffle

Stickin’ with McMurray.

other – 18 (which is why I never put $$$ on it)

Someone is gonna take 2 tires here and mess up the whole dynamic of the race.

by jshaunburke on Jul 25, 2010 3:50 PM EDT up reply actions

Wow, lots of 2 tires. I think Montoya is gonna get tore up trying to rush to the front.

by jshaunburke on Jul 25, 2010 3:52 PM EDT up reply actions

Sticking with Montoya.

Predicted him from the beginning and I will take it to my grave. Or Victory Lane.

Lasts 30 years! That was interesting. I thought it was a joke at first…

I was just thinking that...

Although, I guess you can select ..ahem..“other” types of body parts…

Interesting tire strategies

I think honestly, I would have taken two. Clean air matters so much here.

You?

by Jeff Gluck on Jul 25, 2010 3:53 PM EDT reply actions

agree 2 and clean air

by Shawn Hansen on Jul 25, 2010 3:54 PM EDT up reply actions

I think 2 tires, but as fast as the 16, and 42 are I think 20 laps will be plenty of time for them (as long as they are patient)

by jshaunburke on Jul 25, 2010 3:54 PM EDT up reply actions

I fear there might be too many laps left for that to be the right call.

But if it was the right call, I hope Jamie can hold on to it.

Montoya could have let out of the gas and kept it off the way. He choose to keep in the gas. I don’t really feel sorry for him. I feel Uber sorry for Jr. Just a victim.

Montoya just blew off the media. No comment on his day. Sorry folks.

Must be Mark Martin’s fault. He doesn’t know how to drive.

+1

If your guy can’t win who else could be better then Jamie McMurrary. He is a great guy and I liked him when he was driving the 26 car, glad he is having a good season. Also happy J Johnson had a bad race he should stay home and play with his new born.

Since the face been revealed the game got real
