Weather doesn't get much better than this for Friday and Saturday. Lots of sunshine expected both days, very comfortable with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s both days.
FRIDAY:
3:30 p.m EDT – Sprint Cup Qualifying – Mostly sunny - temp: 75
5:30 p.m EDT – Camping World Truck Final Practice – Mostly sunny skies - temp: 73
SATURDAY

SUNDAY
A weak system will move out of the lower Great Lakes and Ohio Valley Saturday night into Pennsylvania on Sunday. Clouds will increase and so will the threat for showers and thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon and evening. The probability of rain continues to increase as we get closer to Sunday, that’s never a good sign. Unlike the spring race when we were tracking a cold front that had a narrow line of storms this may be more wide spread with scattered and broken areas of showers. To be honest with you, it will rain at some point on Sunday, and very likely could get a shower at the track before, during or after the race. Timing is a real big issue but most indications continue to show afternoon evening the best time for showers and possible storms. Will continue to monitor and update.
1:00 p.m EDT – Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 – Mostly cloudy, cool, possible rain showers
or scattered storms - temp: 71

FRIDAY:
We will see areas of showers and storms move through the state today. Most of the rain will fall during the morning but a few more showers and storms are possible later this afternoon and evening. With any storm that forms later today, the concern is for heavy rain and the potential for severe storms with gusty damaging winds and hail. High temperature will be in the low 80s to upper 70s, and it will be humid.
5:30 p.m EDT (4:30 p.m CDT) – Nationwide Practice – Variably cloudy sct. showers and storms - temp: 80
7:30 p.m EDT (6:30 p.m CDT) – Nationwide Final Practice – Variably cloudy sct. showers and storms - temp: 78
SATURDAY
Much better day expected for Saturday, sunshine with a few passing clouds; warm but typical summer weather. High will be in the mid 80s.
4:00 p.m EDT (3:00 p.m CDT) – Nationwide Qualifying – Partly Sunny - temp: 85
7:00 p.m EDT (6:00 p.m CDT) – U.S. Cellular 250 – Partly Sunny - temp: 85
