The New York Islanders have seized rugged defenseman James Wisniewski from the Anaheim Ducks, trading a conditional third round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft in exchange. He has a lot going for him such as the 30 points he emerged with last season, but carries a major risk factor with his injury/suspension dossier.
Either way, Islanders General Manager Garth Snow isn't complaining.
"We see James as a key addition to our team and we feel our fans will connect with his style of play," said Islanders General Manager Garth Snow. "He is a solid puck-moving defenseman who can bring an added element of toughness to our blue-line."
From a Ducks perspective, stick with Anaheim Calling and for Islanders supporters, Lighthouse Hockey will provide you with feedback.
