It didn’t look good for UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar in the first round when Shane Carwin dropped him with a flurry of punches and pounded him on the ground for most the round.
But Lesnar came back in the second round and choked out a tired Carwin with an arm triangle choke.
Carwin looked utterly dominant over Lesnar in the first, making the champ curl up in the fetal position for minutes at a time. But he clearly faded by the end of the round and had very little left for Lesnar in the second round.
Lesnar now becomes the uncontested #1 heavyweight in the world.

Food for thought
I wonder why the ref didn’t call the fight in the first round? For a few minutes there Brock was getting utterly destroyed by Carwin. To Brock’s credit he survived and won out, but still, most fights I’ve seen like that end when the ref sees someone getting beaten that badly. Credit to Brock though for winning on the choke submission. Now I want to see him against Fedor!
