But they're not yet willing to give a prognosis on his future in the NFL because he faces additional orthopedic, neurological, vascular and orthopedic surgery in the following weeks and months."
Dr. Russell Warren, surgeon-in-chief at HSS and the Giants' team physician, "Since he will undergo several additional procedures over the next few weeks, no prognosis has been given."
While there is no expectation that Jones can play this year, the prognosis could lead to a settlement between him and the team.
Both sides are focusing on his recovery and then moving onto his football future.
