Nick Catone And Tomasz Drawl Meet At UFC Fight Night 22

It appears Nick Catone will stay at middleweight for now.

Not long after the New Jersey native told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that he wants to drop to welterweight, sources close to the promotion today said Catone (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) will stay in the 185-pound division to fight Tomasz Drwal (17-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 22.

UFC Fight Night 22 is expected to take place Sept. 15 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, and air live on Spike TV, though the promotion has yet to officially announce the event.

Drwal is returning from what looked to be a gruesome injury when he was heel hooked by Rousimar Palhares. The injury turned out to be a sprained knee so he was not sidelined for too long. In Catone he faces a man who is coming off a decision win against Jesse Forbes. Both men have had success against their "lesser" opponents but have had trouble when stepping up their level of competition. This will be a good test for each man to see if they've got what it takes to make any noise in the 185 pound division.
