Jimmie Johnson Feels Bad About Causing Wreck, Says Kurt Busch Doesn't Like Him

Jimmie Johnson expressed regret over causing Sunday's big crash at Pocono – a wreck that could have seriously injured Elliott Sadler – but refuted Kurt Busch's claim that Johnson "drove straight through" the No. 2 car.

Johnson said Busch was "already wobbling" when the failed bump-draft occurred and added, "I certainly feel bad" about the incident.

"I am glad the 19 (of Sadler) is OK," Johnson said. "I understand he took a heck of a hit. Last thing I wanted to do was cause a wreck or crash the 2 or anything like that. I feel bad about that but we were all just racing real hard down the back."

Told of Busch's comments, however, Johnson said Busch has never shied away from making him look bad.

"Kurt isn't very fond of me; he never has been," Johnson said. "I think when he has a chance to take a shot at me, he will probably do so. But (the wreck was) certainly nothing intentional and if he would like to talk about it, I'm more than willing to talk about."

Johnson said he planned to communicate with Busch about the incident.

"I will definitely talk to him," he said. "I mean, if I am right or wrong, I have nothing to hide, so I will gladly talk to him."

To quote the great Artie Lange, WAAAAH. I always love when Kurt Busch calls someone out.

I wouldn’t like a guy who ran right into me either. Johnson admits that Busch was “wobbling,” but he chose to try to bump draft him anyway.

Even people sitting at home know that when you bump draft someone when you aren’t square bad things will happen.

I knew it would be a matter of time before Jimmie would be blamed for everything that’s wrong with Pocono. I just hate what happened to Elliott, however, Jimmie wasn’t responsible for hitting him, according to tweets it was A.J. #43 who got into Elliott. Really feel bad for Elliott, I’ve never been a fan of Kurt Busch. He’ll whine and cry about everything and everyone. I know the Jimmie haters will be out in full force this week.

Yeah Cangal48 we all knew JJ would get the blame for everything. I don’t like that he automatically took the blame before looking at the replays. There were other factors there like the 33. It could have happened to anyone but of course the haters make it it taboo for JJ to make any mistake and Kurt ASKED for the help. It just turned bad. I’m so glad Elliott is ok too.

Kurt/JJ

How many times has JJ wrecked Kurt?? And he wonders why he does not like him-LOL!!!!

JJFAN, you are right Kurt has had some issues – mostly of JJ making. Busch has 12 top 10’s on the year, (the same as pretty boy jimmie) and would have 3 more if Jimmie hadn’t wrecked him 3 times this year. What has the first thing Jimmie did when Kurt bumped him (not wrecked him) at New Hampshire – whine and cry, even though he won the race. Jimmie can dish is out, but he can’t take it. He is a great driver, even as a Kurt Busch fan, I can appreciate Jimmie’s driving….funny how JJ fans don’t think the same of Kurt.

Kurt and Jimmie

I bet he doesn’t feel as bad as Kurt. It looked like a racing deal to me. I like both of them. Thankfully Elliott is okay, but that wasn’t Kurt or Jimmies fault.

BS on Jimmie. If they aren’t friends anymore, then it must be a very recent thing.
