In his ritual Tuesday pre-major press conference, the buzz around Tiger Woods was his reportedly budding relationship with Canadian swing teacher Sean Foley. Rumored since The Players Championship in May to be working with Woods in some capacity, Foley was again spotted Tuesday morning walking with Woods and current pupils Sean O'Hair and last week's winner Hunter Mahan.
Asked about it by the media, Woods said of the Tuesday action, "I wasn't doing anything with him today. He was watching Hunter and Sean, and I did ask him to film a couple, I would like to take a look at it, which I did look, so I'm heading in the right direction."
With the media not convinced that Foley was a mere videographer and pressed about the relationship becoming formalized, Tiger said, "Certainly it's a possibility. No doubt. But there also is a lot other coaches out there that's a possibility, as well, that I've talked to. ... I wanted him to have him take a look at it today on video and so I can take a look at it and that's what we did."
Foley was tracked down by the Associated Press and told Doug Ferguson,"I wouldn't say that [I am working with Woods]. But the possibility is there."
Waggle Room is reporting that one of the coaches on Woods' referenced short list is Brian Mogg, teacher to defending PGA Champion Y.E. Yang.
