Jeff Suppan Goes To Disabled List With Groin Soreness
Jeff Suppan's run a 4.14 ERA with St. Louis after coming over from Milwaukee, so you could make some argument that he's been a serviceable addition. However, he's an arguably serviceable addition who's going to miss a little time:
All in all, Suppan will hardly miss any time, and with Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Jaime Garcia, and Jake Westbrook manning the rotation's front four, it's unlikely he'll be missed very much. Suppan will be eligible to return on August 16th, and will slide back into the fifth slot, to be used whenever necessary.
