Anthony Davis, Jr., regarded by many to be the top recruit in the country, has officially committed to the Kentucky Wildcats. Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio tweets:
It is now confirmed....Anthony Davis Jr, likely the #1 player in America has committed to Kentucky. Huge
This was expected, but it's still very good news for a Wildcats team that lost its core to the NBA draft.
Earlier in August, Kentucky was the subject of controversy when the Chicago Sun-Times reported that the university had paid Davis $200,000 in exchange for his commitment. UK vehemently denied the allegations and threatened to sue the Sun-Times, which later removed the article.

Anthony Davis: "Yes, Sir, I Committed To Kentucky"
In case you were waiting to hear it directly from the horse’s mouth, Anthony Davis confirmed to The Courier-Journal that he will wear Kentucky blue next season.
Davis chose Kentucky over Syracuse, Ohio State and DePaul.
