The 1960 U.S. Olympic basketball team was honored next, as the players in attendance took the stage.
Jerry West gave a speech on behalf of his former teammates. West, who has already been inducted to the Hall as a player
"We won so easily," he said. He noted that while he didn't always love, or even like, teammate Oscar Robertson, he held an immense amount of respect for him.
Hearing the national anthem at the Olympics, he said, was one of the greatest moments of his life.
Robertson, another previous Hall inductee, took the stage next. He spent a few minutes touching on his upbringing in Tennessee -- even though he already had a chance to do so the last time he took the podium in Springfield.
