On Monday at the Bobby Jackson Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament, Tyreke Evans stepped up to the first tee, and... Well, it's hard to really describe the atrocity that happened next. So just watch as Tyreke discovers that golf is not, in fact, "just like Wii":
Tiger Tiger Woods, y'all? Eh... More like Detroit Tigers Tigers, y'all. Just a complete mess.
But also kind of great.
Because Tyreke has an alibi here, and this is something that I've often dreamed about while playing golf alongside condescending onlookers, thumbing their nose at the hitch in my backswing, my feet being too wide, or bringing my head up too soon, or... You get the point. Golf is impossible.
But Tyreke? He plays basketball really well, so it's sort of hard to call him out for anything that happens on a golf course. Like, yeah, he whiffs on his tee shot. But can you do a 360 dunk? Do you have a YouTube montage of highlights titled, Don't Act Like You Don't Know? Did you win NBA Rookie of the Year last year? No, you didn't.
Basically, if any golfer gives Tyreke Evans trouble, he can respond like Kenny Powers does below. "Um, sorry, but I play real sports." And anyone that can mimic Kenny Powers and get away with it...
...That's a winner, no matter what sport they're playing.
