During this week's road trip, Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon has arranged for his team to wear matching team blazers, or as Maddon calls them, BRaysers. More like, "Rays blazers," if you ask me!
"The BRaysers are in, they're fabulous, they met with everybody's approval,'' Maddon said. "We're going to wear them on this trip - the team BRayser.''
Here's a look at the BRayser, which looks sort of like a tablecloth (Rayblecloth?).
This is in line with Maddon's new team policy, which mandates that all team personnel work as many words as possible into puns. Road trips are now "Rayd trips," Tropicana Field is "TropRaycana Field," the Rays are "Rays," the Rays are now insufferable to be around, and baseball is "basebalRaysl."
