We finally dry out on Friday, and all on-track activities are good to go as we will have mostly sunny skies. There will be some fog in the morning but we warm up to near 90.
FRIDAY:
9:00 a.m EDT – Nationwide Final Practice – Possible Fog, Mostly sunny - temp: 75
12:00 p.m EDT – Sprint Cup Practice – Mostly sunny - temp: 80
2:30 p.m EDT – Sprint Cup Final Practice – Mostly sunny - temp: 88
4:00 p.m EDT – Nationwide Qualifying – Mostly sunny - temp: 90
5:30 p.m EDT – Sprint Cup Qualifying – Mostly sunny - temp: 90
7:00 p.m EDT – Food City 250 – Partly sunny - temp: 88
Saturday is more difficult to predict. There will be a boundary that will try to work into the area, and ahead of it will be lots of moisture. This will allow for scattered areas of showers and storms. The good news is the storms should be more scattered in nature. That means there could be lengthy periods of dry time. Will have to watch this throughout the day and into the evening keeping an eye on radar.
SATURDAY
7:00 p.m EDT – Irwin Tools Night Race – Scattered areas of showers and thunderstorms - temp: 85
