Fans of Vanderbilt football and animal husbandry, a celebratory toast: As of today, Robbie Caldwell is the Commodores' mere interim head coach no more:
Vanderbilt vice chancellor David Williams made the announcement at a Nashville Rotary Club meeting Monday and told The Tennessean's Bryan Mullen afterward that it was a show of support for Caldwell, who took over last month when Bobby Johnson retired.
And for the drowsy, a reminder from his Media Days presser of why we, as a species, need to keep Robbie Caldwell in the national media spotlight for as long as we possibly can:
My first job was on the turkey farm. I don’t know if I can tell you what my job was, but I was on the insemination crew. That was a good job. We got paid by the hour.
Congratulations, perma-Coach Caldwell! May your reign be folksy and nigh-infinite.
