Driver intros

That was incredible.

Not only did the drivers come out to their own songs, but they each got the microphone to speak to the crowd. You’re going to have to find it on YouTube somewhere.

First, Kyle came out and said, “Y’all so love me. I’m ready to win it again” as people booed the crap out of him.

Then Keselowski came out and said, “KYLE BUSCH IS AN ASS!”

The crowd went freaking nuts. Loudest cheer I’ve ever heard at a NASCAR event.

Allmendinger added fuel to the fire by saying, “I hope I’m ahead of Brad and Kyle when this all goes down tonight!”

Then Stewart said, “Unlike Allmendinger, I don’t hope I’m ahead of it, because I want to be around to see a hell of a wreck!”

Crowd went nuts.

AWESOME intros.

Dale Jarrett would punch KyBu

Jarrett said if he were Keselowski (who is on probabation) that he would have gone to KyBu’s motorhome after last night’s race and punched KyBu in the face and then say they were even.

Got a glimpse of the track at Daytona today..eerie actually. All the asphault is piled up in the back. I’ll be going back tomorrow to try to get pieces of the track to take to Atlanta and also take lots of pictures. Missing being at the race, see you there, Gluck!

Quick Question

I’m going to be in Daytona area in late January (25th) is it worth making a trip to see the track or do you think there won’t be much to see?

by YarkerMommy on Aug 21, 2010 8:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah if you are a fan you have to do it

by Len_DiJoseph on Aug 21, 2010 8:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Not sure what it will look like in January

I believe the 25th of January would be after the Speedweek Intros where the drivers are there and all..check back for dates at daytonainternationalspeedway.com because the Driver interviews they have are DEFINATELY worth checking out if you’re in the area. You can currently view the progress of the track from some designated grandstands but they were already closed about an hour ago when I drove by.

I’m a half-assed NASCAR fan. I’ve always picked and chose what races I want to watch with skipping a lot of the races. Not this year, the racing has been incredible this year prompting me to watch all the races.

Commercial

How the hell can they take a commercial right now?!?!?

by BoggsofHazard on Aug 21, 2010 10:11 PM EDT reply actions

Because....

restarts and lead changes are not important to the viewer.

Commercial

Are you serious? Another freakin’ commercial? C’mon?!?! Where the hell is the race?

by Holly Hedgepeth on Aug 21, 2010 10:11 PM EDT reply actions

This is why I dislike watching racing on network T.V. All the dang commercials.

Ugh

Sorry about the commercials

I’ll let you know if anything goes down.

by Jeff Gluck on Aug 21, 2010 10:17 PM EDT reply actions

this is horrible!

I need to see the race please!

by Sebring88 on Aug 21, 2010 10:17 PM EDT reply actions

Happy

Like always, Harvick has somehow managed to make it into the top 15. He who brought attention to the horseshoe may just have stolen it as well.

by Kaiser31 on Aug 21, 2010 10:18 PM EDT reply actions

Can’t tell if it’s more commercials or if Bristol is such an exciting track that we’re all paying more attention throughout the race.

by Rob Wright on Aug 21, 2010 10:18 PM EDT reply actions

they go to commercial when the racing gets good…it is crazy or they do a stupid replay! uggghh so frustrating

by Sebring88 on Aug 21, 2010 10:20 PM EDT up reply actions

They just start getting bad

It’s one commercial break after the other and it sucks because the race is winding down.

All of these commercials now mean that there won’t be any for the last 20 laps.

She’s such a sweet person. I met her at the Switchfoot concert back in May. Met Russell too.

All hail his royal highnass, Kyle Busch! xD Like what I did there? lol. Awesome weekend. Wish I could have been there to see. Would have been amazing.
Jeff.. you really need to wave at the camera in the media center. And if thats Jenna next to you she does to! lol. Speaking of her… did she just hit you in the head again like she tweeted she would? lol.
