NFL Roster Cuts: Jets Get Down To 75 Players, Release WR Laveranues Coles

The Jets have until Tuesday to get down to 75 players but they started early and released five players including WR Laveranues Coles.

SB Nation's Gang Green Nation weighs in on Coles' release.

Coles really wasn't give much of a chance to prove himself, obviously he didn't show Rex enough in training to make him want to keep him around. In his 3rd stint with the Jets, many expected him to provide suitable cover for Santonio Holmes during the first four weeks of the season.

He won't get the opportunity to be Holmes' replacement.

The Jets also released receivers Marcus Henry and Aundrae Allison, as well as defensive lineman Rodrique Wright.

Check out Gang Green Nation for the latest on the Jets roster cuts.
