Our Winnipeg team: voters decided to name them the Jets. Our Quebec team: the Nordiques. We probably should've seen this coming from a mile away.
So we're not all that creative, but hopefully our two general managers are. Let's get to the announcements.
A BASEMENT, MANITOBA, CANADA -- The fake Winnipeg fake Jets are pleased to announce that Gabriel Desjardins, advanced stats blogger extraordinaire, will be taking the reins and leading the team into the 2010 SB Nation Mock NHL Expansion Draft.
Desjardins, who runs SB Nation's Behind The Net, will provide an analytical edge to the front office of the new fake Jets.
AN OFFICE, QUEBEC, CANADA -- The fake Quebec fake Nordiques are proud to announce that professional hockey writer James Mirtle will be taking charge as they prepare for 2010 SB Nation Mock NHL Expansion Draft.
Mirtle, formerly a hockey blogger and the former leader of the SB Nation hockey world, now serves as a writer covering the real Toronto Maple Leafs at The Globe & Mail.
