After spending last year on loan at Blackburn, former Chelsea prospect Franco Di Santo is set to move to Wigan on a permanent, according to one of The Guardian’s Twitter feeds:

Undisclosed fee doesn’t sound very expensive in this context. Translated: Chelsea refuse to admit defeat.
This can’t be good news for Di Santo’s countryman Mauro Boselli. Brought in for a record fee this summer from Estudiantes, the Argentine striker has yet to score for the Latics. Then again, everybody save Hugo Rodallega has failed to score for Wigan.
