LenDale White Signs Two-Year Deal With Broncos

Nearing the end of an off-season in which he forced a trade to Seattle, where he was soon let go after news surfaced that he was facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy, running back LenDale White has signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos.

To make room on the roster, the Broncos waived former Chiefs running back Kolby Smith.

With Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter, the team's top two rushers from last season, nursing injuries suffered on the first day of training camp, the team needed additional camp bodies, not to mention depth for later in the season if these prove to be nagging issues. Then again, White has already been ruled unavailable for the first month of the season, so he will have to impress coaches if he is to still on.
